Wednesday, September 28, 2022, is Belleville’s annual fall clean-up day.
This is the time to place items that do not fit in your trash cart at the curb to dispose of them (see list of acceptable items below). Place small items in trash bags (up to 50 lbs) NOT in reusable containers or cardboard boxes. Please place these items neatly at your curb next to your cart by 6:00 a.m., on the day of the event.

Acceptable Items: Bed frames, box springs and mattresses (box springs and mattresses must be bagged in a waterproof plastic or vinyl storage/disposal bag), charcoal and gas grills (no propane tanks), dry carpet-rolled and tied for one person to handle, furniture items such as chairs, couches, headboards, footboards, lamps, recliners, sofas, tables, etc. (no pianos), household trash items such as clothing, dishes, toys, etc. (no batteries), small lawnmowers or snowblowers-gas and oil must be removed, swing sets-must be dismantled.
Items That Are NOT Accepted – These items will not be picked up and should not be placed on your curb: 55-gallon drums, appliances such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, dryers, freezers, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves/ovens, washers, water heaters and water softeners, batteries, building, demolition and roofing materials, cardboard (please recycle) computers and computer monitors, televisions and electronics, concrete, brick or dirt pieces, household pesticides, lead acid batteries, oil or propane tanks, paints and thinners, pianos, vehicle engine blocks and tires, yard waste and brush and recyclables that normally go in your cart. Some of these items may be picked up by Pelletteri Waste Systems for a fee by calling (608) 257-4285 to make arrangements.
The Village of Belleville does have a drop off site for electronic goods, located at the Public Works Shed, 20 River Street. Drop off times are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Acceptable electronic materials include computers/CPUs (laptops, monitors, towers, tablets, etc.), computer accessories (mouse, keyboards, speakers, etc.), fax machines, photocopiers, DVD players, VCRs, DVRs, home and office phones, cell phones, consumer electronics (electric alarm clocks, radios, etc.), printers (including those that scan, copy or fax, etc.), keyboards, televisions, cameras, stereos. Items that are NOT allowed include appliances (stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, etc.), thermometers, fire and smoke alarms and detectors, furniture.
