Belleville Kiwanis Continues Service

During these times of uncertainty, Belleville Kiwanis is still here. We have had to reduce the scope of service projects and curtail public exposure and fundraising. Our chili/taco dinner combined with the Boy Scouts is canceled, while school and community projects continue. As the schools schedule allows, we continue to offer K4 Bookworms books, middle school academic achievement awards, two high school scholarships and a World Affairs seminar scholarship (which may be virtual in the summer of 2021).
We will be placing holiday decorations on the gazebo in the park, hosting another Red Cross blood drive on January 19th, and maintaining street crossing flags, adding several locations as our community needs change. Upcoming our members, families and friends will be volunteering in the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign November 13th through December 24th in our area. Please consider supporting this effort as their services have had increased need.
Once society and health concerns allow, Kiwanis will again attempt fundraising activities like the chili dinner, garage sale and food stands and ask for your support. Until then, stay well and know that we are still active! Our website is www.bellevillekiwanis.org.
