The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently awarded Better Brodhead $500,000 to implement Mental Health Awareness Training in Green and Lafayette Counties over the next four years.
Better Brodhead is contracting LivingWorks (https://www.livingworks.net) to provide three levels of Suicide Prevention training for professionals across multiple sectors and the public. LivingWorks trainings are designed to provide everyone with skills to play a life-saving role. Better Brodhead will provide these training opportunities free of charge through this grant funding.
Better Brodhead is a community coalition whose mission is to work together to prevent and reduce alcohol and other drug use among youth and foster positive relationships for a safe, healthy, and inclusive community. For more information about this program, please contact Alexis Speth, Community Service Coordinator, at aspeth@betterbrodhead.org.
