Join the Relay for Life of Green County Committee members from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 29, at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Avenue, Monroe, to celebrate cancer survivors and have some fun during their ‘Celebrating Cancer Survivors Fundraiser’ with music by Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchmen.
Cost: $12.00 admission, with $1.00 donated to Relay for Life.
“There will be prize drawings, door prizes, and other fundraisers for the American Cancer Society,” said Darlene Arneson, RFL Team Leader for Vikings for a Cure. “During entertainment breaks, we will recognize cancer survivors, promote the June 23 Relay for Life event, have lots of fun, and of course dance.”
Proceeds from the event will support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Green County event on June 23rd, at the Stateline Ice and Community Expo (SLICE), 1632 4th Avenue West, Monroe.
Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in thousands of communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take a Bite Out of Cancer.
Join committee members to bring communities together, to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
