Cheesemakers Winning Streak Continues

The Monroe Cheesemakers co-op hockey team continued their winning streak on December 23rd with an 8-0 shutout win against Madison La Follette.
The Cheesemakers scored early and often with three goals in the first period, made by Hayden Roth assisted by Cade Janecke, Jared Dillon and Payton Stauffacher assisted by Cooper Dreyfus.
In the second period goals were scored by Stauffacher assisted by Janecke and Sam Pecoraro assisted by Logan Roth and Aiden Grey.
Third period goals were scored by Brady Smith assisted by Jared Dillon and Payton Stauffacher, Hayden Roth assisted by Dillon and Cade Janecke and Cooper Dreyfus on a power play, assisted by Janecke and Stauffacher.
Goalie Heath Bear had 25 saves on goal.
On December 28th, the Cheesemakers co-op hosted Chequamegon at SLICE in Monroe. The Cheesemakers won, 5-2.
Chequamegon was the first to score in the second period, but the Cheesemakers scored two goals to go up by 1. The goals were made by Cade Janecke assisted by Hayden Roth and Logan Roth assisted by Seth Brandt and Roman Bauer.
The Cheesemakers co-op scored three more times before the end of the game. Ryan Molitor scored twice, assisted by Seth Lindsay and Luke Kuberski and by Jared Dillon and Kuberski and Logan Roth put the final goal on the board, assisted by Aiden Grey and Payton Stauffacher.
Heath Bear had a total of 26 saves on goal.
The team plays at Milton on January 3rd, and then hosts Monona Grove on January 7th and McFarland on January 9th.
