Crash in Montrose Kills One

On Sunday, July 22, 2018, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, along with the Belleville Police Department, Belleville Fire Department and Belleville EMS, responded to CTH PB, just north of CTH A in the Town of Montrose, for a two-vehicle injury crash.
The preliminary investigation indicates a 58-year-old man was operating a 2017 Ford F-350 pickup truck northbound on CTH PB when he was struck head on by a 2012 Honda Fit, operated by an 18-year-old male. The 18-year-old driver of the Fit, identified as Eduardo Fraire of Belleville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger of the F-350 were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
CTH PB was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while Deputies and Crash Reconstructionists investigated this crash. The crash investigation is ongoing.
