Crime Stoppers Seeking Volunteers

Green County Crime Stoppers Inc. is seeking volunteers to join our Board of Directors.
Green County Crime Stoppers is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in June of 1985. Our mission is to help keep our community safe by providing an anonymous way for citizens to provide tips to law enforcement about criminal activity in our community’s and also educate citizens on how to keep themselves safe. We provide two ways for citizens to report crimes anonymously by using our phone tip line 1-800-I-C-CRIME or by using the P3 tip app on your Android/iPhone or home computer.
Green County Crime Stoppers has received 1,567 tips which have resulted in 340 arrests and over $1.7 million dollars in property and narcotics being recovered. Green County Crime Stoppers has given out $27,525 in rewards to tipsters who provided the information that has resulted in an arrest or recover from the tip that was received.
Green County Crime Stoppers also operates the Quick 50 program in Green County Schools. This program allows for students in each school in Green County to report any drugs, alcohol, weapons or vandalism that is on school property. If a recover is made, the student could receive $50 for the recovery of the item or helps solve any vandalism on school property.
Green County Crime Stoppers is looking for residents throughout Green County who have interest in joining our Board of Directors. As a member of our Board of Directors, you have the opportunity to contribute your talents, expertise and dedication to help our organization continue to provide this essential service to our community and law enforcement agencies.
