DEBRA UFKEN

Debra Ufken, age 70, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the SSM Health Hospice Home in Monroe. She was born on December 24, 1951, at Ft. Hood, TX, the daughter of Alfred and Carla (Lewis) Ufken.
Debra graduated from New Glarus High School in 1970, and then attended the Patricia Stevens College of Design in Milwaukee. She would go on to work as a medical transcriptionist in Monroe and Marshfield, WI, and then at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, from where she retired after twenty-eight years in 2017. Debra enjoyed reading and cross stitch. She was also a devout and faithful Christian, reading her bible daily and living as taught by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Debra is survived by her brothers, David (Dorothy) Ufken, Larry Ufken, and Wayne Ufken; and sister, Linda (Dan) Stolts. She is further survived by a niece, Melanie (Jeff) Judd and family, Ashley (Jacob) Udelhoven and Allyson and Jerrod Judd; niece, Andrea (Sheena) Hirschfield and family, Lelani, Avery, and Beckham Hirschfield; nephew, Alen (Tina) Zweifel and family, Jacob and Alexander Zweifel; niece, Tonya (Muhammed) Ufken and family, Ayaan, Atiya, and Ibraheem Aga; and nephew, A. J. Ufken.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dan Ufken.
Private family inurnment services will be in the Swiss Church Cemetery, New Glarus, WI.
