Jack Link’s Protein Snacks is creating a new commuting option for employees at the company’s New Glarus production facility. The “vanpool” program will provide reliable transportation to and from work for employees from urban areas in Dane, Green and Rock counties, and is being funded through a Commute to Careers grant received by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
“We take great pride in being an employer and member of the business community in New Glarus. While our business here is growing and we’ve been able to create new job opportunities, transportation has been a critical barrier in attracting and keeping talent. With this grant, we can develop a meaningful transportation program that will help our current and new team members cost effectively get to our facility, and continue to make Jack Link’s Protein Snacks an awesome place to work,” said Augusto Perez, Human Resources Manager for Jack Link’s Protein Snacks’ New Glarus facility.
Jack Link’s Protein Snacks estimates that the new commuting program will allow the company to add 100 jobs to the New Glarus facility.
