Join the Monticello Community Club

The Monticello Community Club would like to invite you or your company to join our organization. In 1937 the Articles of Organization were filed, showing the following purpose of the Club:  <i>To advertise and promote the general welfare of the Village of Monticello, Green County, Wisconsin.  To provide entertainment for the residents of Monticello and surrounding communities.  To promote a general feeling of good will between town(ship) and village residents of this community, to assist in the protection of health and welfare of the children of the community and such other public service as may be rendered for the good of the community. </i> And that has been happening ever since! 
Projects take money, and Monticello’s Homecoming is our biggest event of the year and our largest money-maker. Plans for 2016 have already begun, so be sure to put July 7th through 10th on your calendar. And, please consider volunteering early and often. A special thank you to those of you that donated your time and energy to the 2015 Homecoming! 
Community input helps us with our many small decisions throughout the year (along with a few major ones). Those decisions in 2015 led to:
·   Two Monticello Senior Spring Scholarships: $500 per scholarship
·  Organized and Ran Annual Easter Egg Hunt: $300
·  Donation for Monticello Post Prom: $200
·  Furnished Little League Shirts: $300
·  Monticello Blood Drive: $50
·   Funded the Monticello High School Seniors Dinner at Graduate Banquet: $222
·   New Concrete for Park Basketball Court and Shelter: $12,677
·  Thank you for Mowing the Hwy 69 Wayside: $100
·   Flowers for Montesian Gardens: $94.33
·  Monticello Dairy Queen: $50
·   Monticello Bows and Banners: $20
·   Donated Homecoming Raffle Prizes: $950
· Homecoming Fireworks (1/2 of bill): $2,500
·   Donation for Children’s Halloween event: $200
· Green Cares Food Pantry donation: $1,000
·   Monticello Christmas Stocking Fund donation: $1,000
·    Donated Monticello School Christmas Treats: $282
·  Sponsored and Organized Homecoming
Please consider joining our organization and help us bring more good deeds to Monticello!  Our meetings are the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m., rotating between Community Club member Main Street bars.  Dues are just $15.00 and can be mailed to Community Club, PO Box 65, Monticello, WI 53570.
