KEITH F. ROESSLEIN

Keith Ferdinand Roesslein, age 89, passed away on April 28, 2022, in Monroe, WI. Keith was born in Hampshire, IL, on April 22, 1933, to Ferdinand and Norma (Kray) Roesslein.
Growing up, Keith attended different country schools in Kane County and McHenry County, IL, and graduated from Harvard High School, Harvard, IL, in 1951.
Immediately following graduation, Keith enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country, spending two years as a radio operator on a small Japanese island during the last years of the Korean War.
While home on leave, Keith met his future wife, Shelby Jean Allen, on a blind date. Keith and Shelby married in October of 1955, shortly after Keith's honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. Keith and Shelby farmed side-by-side for more than 50 years. They were married for almost 65 years before Shelby passed away in April 2020.
Keith was a member of the Alden-Hebron School Board, Hebron, IL, for several years, serving as President of the board during his term. He was a member of the Green County Ag Chest for many years, also serving as President during his membership years.
Always willing to lend a helping hand, Keith's grandchildren were the light of his life and he devoted much time helping his grandchildren with school or 4-H projects. Keith loved to talk and easily started a conversation with everyone he met. He never met a stranger!
Keith is survived by his children, Kay (Randy Pinnow), Brian (Barbara), and Ronald (Janis); grandchildren, Crystal, Sarah, Lucas, Kellie, Debra, Sherry, Samantha, Joshua, Rachel, Maegan, Brianna, Maeci, Halie, and Jamie; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Gordon and his wife, Barbara Roesslein; sisters-in law, Barbara Dietz, Viole Bishop, and Nancy Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby; son, Clinton; grandson, Mark; his parents, Ferdinand and Norma; his brothers, Raymond and Donald; and sisters, JoAnn and Patsy.
Keith's quick wit and always ready smile will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
