Knights Win Over Wildcats

The New Glarus baseball team hosted Lodi on Tuesday, April 10th, winning 5-4.
Lodi scored in the 1st and the Knights scored five unanswered runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Lodi then scored three in the 4th and 5th.
Reeve Binger was 2x2 at bat with one RBI. Connor Siegenthaler went 1x2 at bat with one run and one RBI. Cooper Dreyfus and Noah Zimmerman were both 1x3 at bat and scored one run each. Jared Carney and Andrew Nimtz scored the other two runs.
Sharing pitching duties were Noah Zimmerman, Andrew Nimtz and Jared Carney. Nimtz had six strike outs while Carney had three.
On Thursday, April 12th, the Knights hosted the Belleville Wildcats, winning 4-3.
The game was tied at zero until the 5th inning when both teams scored one run. Belleville then took a 2-point lead until the Knights put three runners across home plate in the bottom of the 7th to win the game.
Reeve Binger went 1x3 for the Knights, while Jared Carney went 3x4 at bat with one run and one RBI and Noah Zimmerman was 1x4 at bat. Cooper Dreyfus scored two runs and Andrew Nimtz scored one run.
For the Wildcats, Jackson Richter was 2x3 at bat with one run and one RBI while Coltyn Winkers was 2x3 at bat with one RBI. Drew Shrader and Dylan Gratz scored one run each.
Belleville will play at Waterloo on April 19th, and host Palmyra-Eagle on April 23rd and Marshall on April 24th.
New Glarus plays at Cambridge on April 19th, and hosts Mineral Point on April 23rd and Waterloo on April 26th.
