La Crosse Police Present Award

In June of 2020, La Crosse Police Department Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle vs. motorcycle accident. Upon arrival, Officers located several pedestrians stabilizing the operator of the motorcycle, who was at first unresponsive. Through their efforts, the subject came to and was able to speak to the Officers to assist in investigating the crash. For their willingness to come to the aid of an injured motorcyclist, Molly Sarbacker (Belleville), Alexis Welch (Forest Lake, MN), and Emma Severson (Columbus, WI), were presented with the La Crosse Police Department Citizen Award of Excellence. The Citizen Merit Award is presented to a Citizen who prevents loss of life or great bodily harm to another while paying no regard to their own personal safety.
