Following a couple of very exciting wins the week prior, the Belleville girls basketball team is now ranked 7th in Division 4 for the state of Wisconsin.
Per WisSports.net: “Mineral Point takes over the top spot in the Division 4 WSN Coaches Poll. The Pointers moved to 11-0 after posting victories against Evansville (66-53) and No. 8 Brodhead (47-44) at the Evansville Holiday Classic. Aquinas drops to No. 2 after falling to D1 No. 9 Germantown (69-67) at the Watertown Holiday Shootout. The Blugolds rebounded by defeating previously unbeaten and D3 No. 5 West Salem (57-50). Rounding out the top five are Osseo-Fairchild, Milwaukee Academy of Science, and Westfield. MAS picked up a big win over D1 No. 7 Sun Prairie last week, winning 72-47 on the road. Belleville joins the top 10, checking in at No. 7 after beating then-unbeaten Brodhead (54-52) and Evansville (64-44) last week.”
