Dear Residents of the Town of New Glarus,
My name is Rob Ready, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Town of New Glarus Township Chair in the April 1, 2025 election. I believe it is time to realign the priorities of our Township Government, ensure careful oversight of expenditures, and foster stronger resident engagement in governance. My goal is to represent your voice and work collaboratively to strengthen our community.
Since moving to New Glarus in 2001, I have actively served with local organizations such as Green County 4-H, the Green County Fair Board, New Glarus Youth Baseball, and the New Glarus EMS District. I also contribute as a substitute teacher, bus driver, and coach for the New Glarus High School Trap Team. These experiences have deepened my connection to our community and inspired my dedication to its growth.
Professionally, I bring over 40 years of experience in Fire, EMS, and Hazmat services, with 29 years at the City of Madison Fire Department, where I retired as a Fire Lieutenant Paramedic and Hazmat Team Leader. This background has equipped me with strong skills in communication, finance, planning, and operations, all of which are essential for effective leadership.
As your Chairperson, I will prioritize transparency, accountability, and collaboration. I am committed to fostering open communication and ensuring that every resident’s voice is heard in shaping the future of our Township.
Please feel free to reach out at (608) 513-7728 or friendsofrobready@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support—I hope to earn your vote on April 1, 2025.
Sincerely,
Rob Ready,
New Glarus
