M/NG Softball Wins Over Black Hawk

The Monticello/New Glarus softball team hosted Benton/Shullsburg on May 20th. Monticello/New Glarus lost the game, 1-11.
Katelyn Eyler was 2x1 at bat, with 1 run scored, while Grace Seffrood was 2x2 and Alivia Palmer was 2x1.
Katelyn Eyler was on the mound, striking out 2 but giving up 11 runs on 15 hits.
On May 21st, Monticello/New Glarus hosted Black Hawk. M/NG took the lead early on in the game and Black Hawk tied it up until M/NG got a run in at the bottom of the sixth. The final score was M/NG 4, Black Hawk 3.
Kenna Pfeuti was 2x2 at bat with 1 run scored and 2 RBI, while Harley Disch was 3x2 at bat with 1 run scored and Melanie Fink was 2x1 at bat with 1 run scored. Kira Whisler also scored a run.
Harley Disch pitched for M/NG, striking out 1 and giving up 3 runs on 9 hits.
Part 2 of the DH against Black Hawk saw the visitors winning, 7-1.
Alexa Siegenthaler went 2x1 at bat, scoring 1 run, while Kenna Pfeuti, Harley Disch and Alivia Palmer all went 2x1 at bat.
Jaden Zuber pitched all 4 innings, striking out 3 and giving up 7 runs on 8 hits.
On May 24th, Monticello/New Glarus played at Argyle, and at Pecatonica on May 25th. They will host Highland on May 27th and Juda on June 1st.
