Monticello Dairy Queen Bids Farewell

Words can't even begin to describe how honored I am that I was able to spend this past year as Monticello's 2014-2015 Dairy Queen. I have not only gained twelve new friends, but many memories that will last a lifetime. I can't thank the Green County Ag Chest enough for putting on this program. Through this program my knowledge about agriculture has expanded, I have better communication skills, and my public speaking has improved greatly.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped me throughout the year. From lending me dresses to use in parades, to people giving me items for my Dairy Queen scrapbook, everything was appreciated. A special thank you goes out to my parents, for always being my number one supporters and going everywhere with me. I would also like to thank who ever had a star made for me for Homecoming. My last thank you goes out to Pam Burke for not only having events for all of us, but also for helping me with my scrapbook. There is no doubt that if I did not have her help that my scrapbook would never get done.
This year has been truly amazing and I hope next year's queens have just as much fun as I have had. This year went by so fast, but then again, they do say that time flies when you're having fun.
