New Glarus Area EMS celebrated 40 years of service to the people of the area on Saturday, April 11, with an Open House.
It was a beautiful afternoon for everyone who stopped in to thank the Emergency Technicians and Drivers for their hard work and dedication. There were also plenty of refreshments to enjoy. Local businesses and individuals helped make the celebration possible with donations.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet the members of the New Glarus Area EMS, New Glarus Fire Department, New Glarus Police Department, Monticello Fire Department, the Green County K9 Unit, Monroe Clinic Hospital Staff, UW Hospital Staff, and St. Mary's Hospital Staff, members of the UW Organ Procurement Team as well as organ donors and donor recipients. There was also a certified technician who answered questions and was available to check child safety seats.
