The New Glarus Fire District was awarded a grant of $2,800.00 to purchase fire fighting nozzles from the Compeer Financial Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program. The grant provided the NGFD the ability to replace obsolete and worn out nozzles with new equipment that allows for more efficient fire-fighting operations.
The Compeer Financial Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program was brought to the attention of Capt. Andy Beal of the New Glarus Fire Department by New Glarus resident Rolland Schmidt. Mr. Schmidt provided Capt. Beal with a copy of the Cultivate magazine published by Compeer Financial that announced the grant program. Capt. Beal completed the grant application in August and the New Glarus Fire District was notified of their successful grant application in early October, subsequently the nozzles purchased with the grant funds were delivered and placed into service in early November.
The New Glarus Fire Department would like to thank Compeer Financial for the grant award and also thank Rolland Schmidt for bringing this grant program to our attention.
The New Glarus Fire Department greatly appreciates all of the support received from the people and communities served by the NGFD.
