Home ›New Glarus Participates in 2019 FCCLA Regional Competition
On Friday, February 15th, New Glarus Middle and High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members headed to Oregon High School to compete in the FCCLA Regional Competition. These members competed in events, also known as STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) Events, which have helped to increase student leadership, community involvement, and community service.
Students advancing to the State level will continue to improve upon their project, and will compete in April at the State Competition. Seventeen New Glarus FCCLA Members competed, and all seventeen competitors advanced to the State FCCLA Leadership Convention that will be held April 8th-10th, in Wisconsin Dells. Twelve students earned gold medals and five earned silver medals.
