NG Volleyball Dismisses Abundant Life Christian, 25-17, 25-14, 25-14

At home on Thursday, Oct. 1, the New Glarus Glarner Knights volleyball team dismantled Abundant Life Christian, 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.
Leading the team in kills was Maddie Macht with 10 followed by Willow Lee with four.
Alex Nealis, McKinley Righter, Bridget Craker, and Julia Barnaby all had one block apiece.
Nealis earned four aces.
Vanessa Narveson tallied 16 digs while Macht totaled 13.
“It was great to see a non-conference team in the middle of the season. All of the girls on the team got to play tonight and made a positive impact,” stated Head Coach Kelsey Schmit.
Earlier that week on Tuesday, Sept. 29, the Glarner Knights fell to Wisconsin Heights 22-25, 20-25, 24-26.
“It was a close match all night. The New Glarus girls have improved tremendously since we last played Wisconsin Heights. Since Wisconsin Heights is setting in first in conference, it was great to see the girls push them to close scores. I’m very proud of them!” Schmit exclaimed.
Macht had 14 kills while Devon Boll earned seven.
Righter and Boll had two blocks each. Macht totaled two aces while Barnaby had one.
Nealis led the team with 26 assists.
For digs, Macht tallied 16 and Boll 11.
Overall, New Glarus is 3-4 in conference play and 11-13 on the season.
