At about 8:50 p.m., on December 16, 2021, the Belleville Fire Department, along with Belleville EMS and the Dane County Sheriff's Office, were dispatched to the 6700 block of Henry Road, Town of Montrose, for a structure fire.
Arriving units found a 3-unit residential building heavily involved with fire. A box alarm was requested to bring assistance from the following departments: Verona Fire Department, New Glarus FD, Fitchburg FD, Oregon FD, Brooklyn FD, Evansville FD, Monticello FD and Fitch-Rona EMS. The Albany FD and Blanchardville FD provided standby coverage at the Belleville Fire Station.
One civilian was transported to the hospital by Fitch-Rona EMS with burns and smoke inhalation. There were no fire service injuries.
One living unit is considered a complete loss with the other two units sustaining smoke and water damage. Four adults were displaced by the fire, which caused an estimated $250,000.00 in damage.
