On May 16th, the Monticello Ponies track team competed at the Six Rivers Conference Meet at UW-Platteville. The girls finished in 8th place, while the boys finished in 5th.
“It was a great night for the Monticello Ponies!” said Kim Becker.
<strong>Boys Results</strong>
In the 100M Dash, Seth Culberson finished 8th.
In the 200M Dash, Mason McCutchin finished 11th, while Atreyu Blades finished 14th and Tait Swanson finished 15th.
Evan Guenther won the 400M Dash, while Alex Roe finished 9th and Ben Collins finished 10th.
Evan Guenther won 800M Run.
In the 1600M Run, Braylon Hoesly finished 6th.
In the 3200M Run, Ian Schwartzlow finished 3rd.
In the 300M Hurdles, Brayden Ryan finished 4th.
The 4x200M Relay team of Seth Culberson, Ayden Wilkins, Atreyu Blades and Mason McCutchin finished 4th.
The 4x400M Relay team of Seth Culberson, Ben Collins, Alex Roe and Brayden Ryan finished 3rd.
Winning the 4x800M Relay event was the team of Brayden Ryan, Braylon Hoesly, Ian Schwartzlow and Evan Guenther.
In the Long Jump event, Alex Roe finished 6th, while Mason McCutchin finished 9th and Atreyu Blades finished 16th.
In Shot Put, Wade Noriega finished 8th, while Seth Culberson finished 10th and Joe DiCristina finished 18th.
In the Discus Throw, Wade Noriega placed 2nd, Ben Collins finished 13th and Joe DiCristina finished 14th.
<strong>Girls Results</strong>
“Our girls team may be small, with just two girls, but they were able to score 25 points!” said Becker.
Hannah Clark won the 200M and 400M Dash.
In the Shot Put event, Natalie Wahl finished 10th. Wahl placed 4th in the Discus Throw.
The Ponies attended a Regional Meet at Darlington on May 23rd. The Sectional Meet is scheduled for May 26th and the State Meet will be held in La Crosse on June 3 and 4.
