Ponies Track Competes at Cuba City

On April 28th, the Monticello varsity track team competed at the Chris Becker Memorial Track and Field Invitational at Cuba City High School.
“The Becker Invite was a tough meet for our athletes,” said Kim Becker. “We had quite a few personal records and/or season records broken.”
<strong>Mens Results</strong>
In the 400M Dash, Ben Collins placed 19th, while Tait Swanson finished 25th with a PR.
In the 800M Run, Ian Schwartzlow finished 13th with a PR, while Alex Roe finished 19th.
In the 1600M Run, Ian Schwartzlow finished 8th, while Braylon Hoesly finished 10th.
In the 300M Hurdles, Brayden Ryan finished 7th with a PR.
The 4x200M Relay team of Mason McCutchin, Atreyu Blades, Ayden Wilkins and Seth Culberson finished 7th in the event.
In the 4x400M Relay, the team of Mason McCutchin, Seth Culberson, Alex Roe and Brayden Ryan finished 4th.
The 4x800M Relay team of Alex Roe, Braylon Hoesly, Ian Schwartzlow and Brayden Ryan finished 6th.
In the Shot Put event, Wade Noreiga placed 15th, while Seth Culberson placed 22nd and Joe DiCristina finished 35th.
In the Discus Throw, Wade Noriega finished 9th, while Ben Collins finished 29th and Joe DiCristina finished 32nd.
In the High Jump, Evan Guenther finished 9th with a PR.
In the Long Jump, Alex Roe finished 7th with a PR, while Mason McCutchin finished 12th.
<strong>Womens Results</strong>
Hannah Clark won the 400M Dash, and in the 200M Dash, Clark finished 3rd.
In the Shot Put, Natalie Wahl finished 28th. Wahl placed 6th in the Discus Throw.
In the High Jump, Hannah Clark finished 5th.
The Ponies are scheduled to compete at Beloit Turner on May 6th, at Darlington on May 9th and at Belleville on May 13th.
