The Monticello Ponies track team competed at the Blue Jay Invite in Cambridge on Thursday, May 20. The varsity boys team finished in eighth place, while the varsity girls finished ninth.
<strong>Men’s Results</strong>
In the 100M Dash, Wade Noriega finished fifteenth with a time of 14.56.
Evan Guenther finished second in the 1600M Run, with a time of 4:47.92, while Braylon Hoesly finished sixth with a time of 5:00.34 and Ben Collins placed fifteenth with a time of 5:51.59.
Rudy Wicker finished second in the 400M Dash with a time of 53.38.
In the 200M Dash, Rudy Wicker finished tenth with a time of 24.95.
In the 800M Run, Ben Collins finished ninth with a time of 2:37.17.
In the 3200M Run, Evan Guenther finished third with a time of 10:59.30 and Braylon Hoesly was right behind him in third with a time of 11:03.17.
In the Shot Put event, Wade Noriega finished tenth with 31-06. Noriega finished sixth in Discus with 108-06.
<strong>Women’s Results</strong>
In the 100M Dash, Hannah Clark finished fourth with a time of 13.92.
Hannah Clark finished second in the 200M Dash, with a time of 28.13.
In the Discus, Natalie Wahl finished tenth with 75-01.50.
On June 1st the team will travel to compete at Black Hawk High School, and will compete at a conference meet at River Ridge on June 7th.
