Poppy Day in Monticello

Monticello’s American Legion Amstutz-Marty Post #256 Commander E. (Mike) Rufener, and Joe Lehnherr and John Blumer, along with Auxiliary member Nancy Rufener and Poppy Princess Chloe Elmer, and many other volunteers, will be distributing poppies for your gracious donations on Friday, May 25, 2018. We will be located at the Casey’s General Store on the highway in Monticello, Gempeler’s Supermarket and at M&M Café.
We thank you in advance for your generous donations. These donations go towards scholarships for Badger Boy State and Badger Girl State, and for Legion and Auxiliary scholarships to Monticello students and to our deserving Veterans and their families that are disabled, sick or in need.
Please remember our Veterans who served our country so vigorously with a simple red crepe paper poppy that symbolizes the sacrifices that our Veterans and active duty military have made to make America safe. Please wear your poppy with pride. Thank you again in advance for your generous donations.
