Rebecca R. Flegal, 31 of Watertown, went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Watertown Hospital. Rebecca was born on December 5, 1987, in Monroe, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of James and Joyce (Currie) Jensen.
In her home town of New Glarus, Wisconsin, she married Benjamin Flegal on May 10, 2014, and the couple enjoyed four years of marriage. Rebecca was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown and worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Maranatha Baptist University. Rebecca enjoyed life; she had a very outgoing personality and was known by many as helpful, reliable, resourceful, and spunky. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her husband visiting zoos, museums, and libraries; above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Rebecca was a loving and beloved wife and was loved by many and will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known her.
Rebecca is survived by her husband; her parents; sister, Katheryn (Jon) Eads; father and mother-in-law, Gregory and Linda Flegal; brother-in-law, Matthew (Becky) Flegal; sisters-in-law, Jeannie (Ken) Schoonbeck, Hannah Flegal, and Lydia Flegal. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her grandparents.
A funeral service for Rebecca was held on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 5:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. A visitation was held at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial took place on Monday, February 25, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery in Watertown.
