Streiff and Schuett To Play in WFCA All-Star Game

Every year the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) hosts an All-Star game featuring the recently graduated seniors. The game is played across two divisions, North and South, and further divided by school size, Large and Small. The game is always played at Titan Stadium on the campus of UW-Oshkosh. This year's game is set for Saturday, July 17, with the Small division kicking off at 2:00 p.m., and the Large division to follow.
This year, the NGM program has landed two players on the South Small squad - quarterback Darris Schuett and wide receiver Nathan Streiff. This is an honor accorded very few players, and to have two players from the same school is exceedingly rare.
Both young men have set school and program records: Darris Schuett for career passing yards and touchdown throws, and Nathan Streiff for career receptions in total yardage and in touchdowns. (Streiff was also honored as being named to the Honorable Mention All-State Team for small schools). Accordingly, they have been voted on by the coaches of the WFCA for the honor to play in the All-Star game. (Note: WFCA voting took into consideration both fall and spring seasons of this past year).
Both players plan to further their football careers by playing in college. Nathan Streiff, son of Matt and Rebecca Streiff, New Glarus, is headed for Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota; Darris Schuett, son of DJ and Kate Schuett, New Glarus, will be attending Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Gentlemen, thanks for the memories...we wish you well!
NOTE: The game serves as a fundraiser for Children's Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization which funds various health programs dedicated to children throughout the state. For more information, or to make a donation, please visit their website: www.chwevents.org.
