<strong>Zimmerman Named All-Academic</strong>
<strong>Landon Zimmerman</strong>, a native of New Glarus and graduate of New Glarus High School, was one of 13 members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s and women’s track and field programs who were acknowledged by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in the organization’s 2019 NCAA Division III All-Academic Honors. In addition, the two teams were recognized as an All-Academic Teams. The women posted a 3.30 cumulative grade point average through the 2019 spring semester, while the men finished with a 3.14. Zimmerman is majoring in accounting at UW-Whitewater.
To qualify for All-Academic accolades, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and must have either competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 35 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by www.TFRRS.org. To qualify for All-Academic Team status, teams must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.1.

<strong>Minnesota State Mankato Announces 2019 Spring Semester Dean’s List</strong>
The Academic High Honor and Honor Lists (Dean’s Lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Marilyn Wells. A total of 829 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,311 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List. To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester. <strong>Jacqueline Burgess</strong>, Monticello, earned a spot on the High Honor List.

<strong>Local Students Named to University of Minnesota Twin Cities Dean’s List</strong>
The following students have been named to the 2019 spring semester Dean’s List at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities: <strong> Rachel Knoebl</strong>, Belleville, College of Biological Sciences; <strong>Madelline Morgan-Knox</strong>, Belleville, College of Liberal Arts. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

UW-Oshkosh Announces Spring 2019 Graduates</strong>
More than 1,500 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh students graduated in May during the 145th spring commencement ceremonies. Graduates from our area include <strong>Madeline Bartels</strong>, Monticello, College of Letters and Science, Psychology; and <strong>Cameron Blankenship</strong>, New Glarus, College of Letters and Science, Psychology.
