Sugar River Track Advances to Regionals

The Sugar River track team had a meet at Lakeside Lutheran on May 15th. The boys placed 7th with 58 points, while the girls placed 5th with 63 points.

<strong>Boys Results</strong>
In the 200m dash, Dalton Fahey placed 5th with a time of 23.78. Fahey won the 400m run with a time of 52.25, while Josh Grebel placed 5th with a time of 54.02.
In the 800m run, Caden O’Rourke placed 5th with a PR time of 2:08.76.
In the 110m hurdles, Cole Myers placed 3rd with a PR time of 15.51. Myers also placed 3rd in the 300m hurdles, with a PR time of 40.71.
The 4x400 relay team, consisting of Dalton Fahey, Josh Grebel, Milo Hoesly and Cole Myers, placed 4th in the event, with a time of 3:34.75.
The 4x800 relay, consisting of Conor McCoy, Caden O’Rourke, Adam Nelson and Evan Reifert, finished in 4th place with a time of 8:46.60.
In the discus event, Jesse Tetner placed 4th with a final of 118-06.
In the high jump, Jacob Shrader placed 5th with a jump of 5-08.00.

<strong>Girls Results</strong>
In the 100m dash, Kiara Donnell finished in 2nd place with a time of 13.09.
The 4x100 relay team of Hallie Bartow, Kiara Donnell, Jade Halvensleben and Erin Kittleson placed 2nd with a time of 53.78.
Finishing 4th in the 4x200 relay was the team of Hallie Bartow, Jade Halvensleben, Erin Kittleson and Walela Three-Sticks, with a time of 1:56.11.
In the shot put event, Haiden Zimmerman placed 2nd with a PR throw of 33-05.75. Zimmerman placed 3rd in the discus event, with a throw of 98-04.
In the high jump, Katie Bowers placed 3rd with a jump of 4-10.00.
In the triple jump, Walela Three-Sticks finished in 5th place with a PR of 32-07.75.
On May 21st, the team had a Regional at Turner High school and on May 24th they will compete in Sectionals at Lancaster. The State Track Tournament will take place on Friday, June 1st, and Saturday, June 2nd, at UW-La Crosse.
