Sugar River Track Competes in Columbus Quad

The Sugar River track team competed at the Capitol Quad in Columbus on May 7th, where the women wrapped up the Southern Capitol Conference Dual Championship and the men finished in 2nd place.

<strong>Men’s Results</strong>
In the 100M dash, Jared Schulting finished 9th, Patrick Samon finished 10th and Eli Dettwiler finished 12th.
In the 200M dash, JJay Wenger finished 2nd, Jared Schulting finished 4th and Jacob Shrader finished 5th.
In the 400M dash, Caden O’Rourke finished 4th, JJay Wenger finished 5th and Milo Hoesly finished 7th.
In the 800M run, Caden O’Rourke finished 2nd, Adam Nelson finished 4th and Conor McCoy finished 8th.
Adam Nelson won the 1600M run, while Jordan Wilder placed 5th and Tyler Stampfl placed 8th.
Jordan Wilder won the 3200M run, while Matthew Loshaw placed 2nd and Sean Campbell placed 3rd.
In the 110M hurdles, Sean McDermott finished 5th.
In the 300M hurdles, Jared Schulting finished 4th while Sean McDermott finished 8th.
In the 4x100 relay, the team of Robbie Chenoweth, Eli Dettwiler, Alex Grignano and Patrick Samon placed 4th.
In the 4x200 relay, the team of Eli Dettwiler, Alex Grignano, Jacob Shrader and Patrick Samon placed 4th.
In the 4x400 relay, the team of Conor McCoy, Caden O’Rourke, Sean McDermott and Tyler Stampfl finished 2nd.
In the 4x800 relay, the team of Sean Campbell, Matthew Loshaw, Conor McCoy and Adam Nelson finished 2nd.
In the shot put event, Eric Segura finished 4th while Benjamin Viney finished 11th.
In discus, Eric Segura placed 9th while Matthew Zierl placed 11th and Jeremy Kolasa placed 12th.
In the high jump event, Jacob Shrader finished 4th.
In pole vault, Robbie Chenoweth placed 5th and Jeremy Kolasa placed 11th.
In the long jump event, Jared Schulting placed 8th while JJay Wenger placed 10th and Patrick Samon placed 12th.

In the 3200M run, Karley Michels placed 3rd while Molly Molencamp placed 4th and Emily Streiff placed 5th.
Emily Bartow won the 100M hurdles, while Gianna Diaz placed 7th and Brynna Winkers placed 10th.
In the 300M hurdles, Emily Bartow placed 3rd and Gianna Diaz placed 7th.
In the 4x100 relay, the team of Kiara Donnell, Ava Foley, Jade Halvensleben and Heidi Wegehaupt placed 3rd.
In the 4x200 relay, the team of Emily Bartow, Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann and Heidi Wegehaupt placed 3rd.
In the 4x400 relay, the team of Gianna Diaz, Ava Foley, Dayna Karls and Erin Kittleson finished 2nd.
In the 4x800 relay, the team of Dayna Karls, Karley Michels, Molly Molencamp and Tayler Yapp placed 3rd.
Haiden Zimmerman won the shot put event, while Alexa Thayer placed 5th and Dylan Noll finished 10th.
In discus, Haiden Zimmerman placed 2nd while Alexa Thayer finished 8th and Megan Mahlkuch finished 12th.
Katie Bowers won the high jump, while Lily Himmelmann placed 4th and Hallie Bartow placed 8th.
Kyla Jerome won the pole vault event, while Heidi Wegehaupt placed 3rd.
In the long jump, Ava Foley finished 2nd, Jade Halvensleben finished 9th and Kennedy Dreger finished 10th.
Ava Foley won the triple jump while Kennedy Dreger placed 8th and Jade Halvensleben finished 8th.
At their home Raider Invitational on May 10th, the Raider men’s team finished in 6th place and the women’s team finished in 2nd place.

In the 300M hurdles, Emily Bartow placed 4th and Gianna Diaz placed 14th.
The 4x100 relay team of Heidi Wegehaupt, Ava Foley, Jade Halvensleben and Kiara Donnell finished 2nd.
In the 4x200 relay, the team of Erin Kittleson, Lily Himmelmann, Hallie Bartow and McKenzie Rodebaugh finished 4th.
In the 4x400 relay, the team of Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann, Dayna Karls and Emily Bartow placed 4th.
In the 4x800 relay, the team of Morgan Erstad, Dayna Karls, Karley Michels and Tayler Yapp placed 5th.
In shot put, Haiden Zimmerman placed 4th and Megan Mahlkuch placed 17th.
In the discus event, Haiden Zimmerman placed 3rd and Alexa Thayer placed 17th.
In the high jump, Katie Bowers placed 3rd.
In the pole vault event, Kyla Jerome placed 13th and Heidi Wegehaupt placed 19th.
Ava Foley won the long jump event, while Kennedy Dreger placed 5th and Jade Halvensleben placed 13th.
In the triple jump, Jade Halvensleben placed 4th, Ava Foley placed 7th and Kennedy Dreger placed 8th.
“As the season transitions from conference competition to the road to state, we continue to look to get better at practice so that we are competing at a high level and working towards our goals,” said Coach Willy Johnson.
The team will compete at Regionals in Prairie du Chien on Monday, May 20th and Sectionals on May 23rd. The State Track Meet will be held at UW-La Crosse on Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st.
