Sugar River Youth Wrestling

Six Sugar River youth wrestlers took to the mats at the Alliant Energy Center last Friday and Saturday for State competition.  
They came home with 2-3rd place finishers and went 13-10 respectively in all of their matches.
 Here are the 6 wrestlers with each of their match results.   Madox Mau 1st grader at 51# went 1-2 for his group.  Did great for his FIRST TIME qualifying for State.   Zecheriah Bair (3x state Qualifier) at 57# unfortunately lost both of his first 2 matches so was done right away.  Blake Endres (3x state Qualifier) 63# went 2-2 for the day.   Trei Udelhoven 75# (3x state Qualifier) took 3rd place going 4-1 for the day pinning ALL 4 of his opponents.  Eli Leonard 84# (2x state Qualifier) also took 3rd place going 5-1 for the day pinning 2 of his opponents.  And finally Garrett Pauli 150# (2x state Qualifier) wrestled 1-2 for the day.  
So proud of these young men and their accomplishments this season specifically ending strong at State competition!   Thanks to all their families and teammates' families for the great support at Madison.
