Swim Team Wins Lodi Invitational

The Monroe/New Glarus girls swim team participated in a dual in Oregon on September 7th.
“The girls did a great job with their individual races and cheering on their teammates!” said Coach Haley Kaiser.

The team of Riley Hoesly, Karley Michels, Delaney Lynch and Mazie Paradis won the 200 SC Meter Medley Relay with a time of 2:12.98. Placing 3rd in the event, with a time of 2:25.28, was the team of Keeley Mulligan, Peyton Yaun, Samantha Schiro and Danika Doll.
In the 200 SC Meter Freestyle, Morgan Erstad finished 2nd with a time of 2:26.89, while Keeley Mulligan finished in 3rd with a time of 2:38.31 and Peyton Yaun finished in 5th place with a time of 2:47.93.
Riley Hoesly won the 200 SC Meter IM with a time of 2:44.10. Finishing in 4th place was Taylor Rufer, with a time of 3:03.41.
Mazie Paradis won the 50 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 27.89. Placing 3rd was Delaney Lynch with a time of 31.10, while Danika Doll finished 5th with a time of 33.76.
In the 100 SC Meter Butterfly, Delaney Lynch finished 2nd with a time of 1:16.06, while Samantha Schiro finished 3rd with a time of 1:18.96 and Elsa Schaefer finished 4th with a time of 1:24.37.
Mazie Paradis won the 100 SC Meter Freestyle, with a time of 1:00.38. Keeley Mulligan placed 4th with a time of 1:12.18 and Danika Doll placed 5th with a time of 1:17.07.
Riley Hoesly won the 400 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 5:12.42. Finishing in 4th place was Karley Michels, with a time of 6:14.13.
The team 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay team consisting of Keeley Mulligan, Morgan Erstad, Samantha Schiro and Danika Doll won the event with a time of 2:09.78. In 2nd place was the team of Peyton Yaun, Kristina Foley, Karley Michels and Emma Tran, with a time of 2:21.55.
Morgan Erstad won the 100 SC Meter Backstroke with a time of 1:12.81. Samantha Schiro finished 4th with a time of 1:23.75 and Taylor Rufer finished 5th with a time of 1:23.79.
Karley Michels won the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:25.37, while Elsa Schaefer finished 2nd with a time of 1:27.61 and Peyton Yaun finished 3rd with a time of 1:29.78.
The 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay was won by the team of Riley Hoesly, Morgan Erstad, Delaney Lynch and Mazie Paradis, with a time of 4:21.90. Finishing 3rd in the event was the team of Elsa Schaefer, Kristina Foley, Emma Tran and Taylor Rufer, with a time of 5:17.31.
The Varsity team won the dual against Oregon, 106.63. The JV team also won against Oregon, 34-8.
On September 11th, the team swam at the Lodi Invitational. Monroe/New Glarus won the meet with 386 points, which also included teams from Merrill, River Valley/Richland Center, Edgerton/Evansville, Lodi Heights, Jefferson-Cambridge and Portage.
Placing 2nd in the 200Y Medley Relay was the team of Morgan Erstad, Karley Michels, Delaney Lynch and Mazie Paradis, with a time of 1:57.31. The team of Taylor Rufer, Peyton Yaun, Elsa Schaefer and Emma Tran finished in 6th placed with a time of 2:13.78.
Riley Hoesly won the 200Y Freestyle, with a time of 2:10.85. Finishing 14th was Taylor Rufer, with a time of 2:27.32.
Mazie Paradis won the 200Y IM event, with a time of 2:14.50. Placing 2nd was Morgan Erstad with a time of 2:21.44, and Keeley Mulligan placed 7th with a time of 2:36.31.
In the 50Y Freestyle, Delaney Lynch finished 5th with a time of 27.14, while Danika Doll finished 14th with a time of 30.53, Kristina Foley finished 16th with a time of 31.51 and Emma Tran finished 20th with a time of 32.34.
In the 100Y Butterfly, Delaney Lynch finished 2nd with a time of 1:07.72, while Peyton Yaun finished 5th with a time of 1:13.33 and Elsa Schaefer finished 6th with a time of 1:14.50.
In the 100Y Freestyle, Karley Michels placed 9th with a time of 1:06.78, Danika Doll finished 10th with a time of 1:07.61 and Kristina Foley finished 13th with a time of 1:09.72.
Riley Hoesly won the 500Y Freestyle, with a time of 5:50.08. Placing 4th was Keeley Mulligan with a time of 6:09.50.
In the 200Y Freestyle Relay, the team of Riley Hoesly, Danika Doll, Karley Michels and Keeley Mulligan finished 5th with a time of 1:56.07. Placing 8th was the team of Peyton Yaun, Emma Tran, Kristina Foley and Elsa Schaefer, with a time of 2:04.48.
Mazie Paradis won the 100Y Backstroke with a time of 59.01. Morgan Erstad finished 4th with a time of 1:03.41 and Taylor Rufer finished 8th with a time of 1:13.60.
In the 100Y Breaststroke, Karley Michels finished 4th with a time of 1:15.32, while Peyton Yaun finished 7th with a time of 1:18.73, Elsa Schaefer placed 8th with a time of 1:19.09 and Emma Tran finished 14th with a time of 1:24.79.
The 400Y Freestyle Relay team of Riley Hoesly, Morgan Erstad, Delaney Lynch and Mazie Paradis won the event with a time of 3:55.18. Finishing 7th was the team of Keeley Mulligan, Kristina Foley, Taylor Rufer and Danika Doll, with a time of 4:35.58.
On September 14th, the girls host Edgewood at the Monroe YMCA, then have a meet at Lodi on September 21st.
