Swiss Church Hosting Kilby Express Take Out Dinners

Swiss Church will be hosting a modified version of the annual Kilby Supper - Homecoming Celebration in 2021. The traditional sit down dinner in Fellowship Hall will not occur this year. Instead, they will be offering “Kilby Express” Take Out Dinners, as well as the “Taste of Kilby” – Walking Swiss Meatballs Food Stand.
The “Taste of Kilby” food stand will be at the 5th Avenue side of the church lawn on Saturday, September 25th, from 12 noon until ~8:00 p.m. “Walking Swiss Meatballs”, a dollop of Swiss Mashed Potatoes, as well as bottled water will be offered for purchase at the food stand.
The “Kilby Express” take out dinner this year includes Swiss Meatballs, Swiss Mashed Potatoes, Swiss Green Beans, Cheese, Swiss bread and butter, as well as sweet tooth favorites - dessert specialties including Braetzli, Pear Bread, and Zueribieter.
If you made a take-out dinner reservation and paid for your dinner(s) in advance, you can pick up any time between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
An update – we WILL be offering cash and carry take out dinners that evening. If you did not make a reservation for your Take Out dinner before now, you still have the opportunity to stop by and pick up dinners that evening. We will serve while supplies last, and will accept cash and checks. Dinners are $15. Cash and Carry Take out dinners can be picked up at the north/park side church entrance starting at 5:30 p.m. until around 7:00 p.m.
The Kilby Supper is a long-standing tradition of Swiss Church. Everyone is welcome! The traditional Swiss-style meal offers a host of specialties made from original recipes handed down for generations. This is the largest annual fundraising event for the Swiss Church. This year, the proceeds will be directed to the Church Campus Repair & Improvement fund.
The events are open to the public. At Swiss Church, everyone is welcome! We hope you join us this year!
