Swiss Historical Village and Museum Offering Free Admission to Military Personnel and Families

During 2018, the New Glarus Swiss Historical Village and Museum will be one of 45 sites in Wisconsin to offer free admission to military personnel and their families as part of the Blue Star Museums program.
Blue Star Museums - a partnership of the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America - will offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day this year. The Blue Star Museum program runs from Memorial Day, May 28, 2018, through to Labor Day, September 3, 2018. This free admission program is available to active-duty military and their immediate family members (military ID holder and five immediate family members). Active duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, active duty National Guard, and active duty Reserve members.
This is the eighth year that the Swiss Historical Village and Museum has participated in the Blue Star Museum program. Owned and operated by the nonprofit New Glarus Historical Society, the Swiss Historical Village and Museum, located at 612 7th Avenue, is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week, through October 15th.
