The Belleville Wildcats varsity baseball team hosted Marshall on April 26th. The Wildcats quickly overtook the Cardinals and won the game 6-1.
Trevor Syse was 2x3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI, while Devin Frydenlund and Carson Syse both went 1x3 at bat and each scored 1 run. Ryan Downing scored 2 runs, and Owen Stoikes scored 1 run.
Aidan Keyes and Carson Syse shared the mound for Belleville, with Syse striking out 7 and Keyes striking out 3.
The Wildcats hosted the New Glarus Glarner Knights on April 28th. The Knights scored first, but that was their only run and Belleville kept them from scoring the rest of the game. The final score was Belleville 11, New Glarus 1.
Owen Stoikes went 2x2 at bat for Belleville, scoring 2 runs, and had 2 RBIs, while Aidan Keyes was 1x2 with 1 run scored and Anthony Nolden was 1x3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Devin Frydenlund scored 2 runs, while Ryan Downing, Gavin Boyum, Carson Heller and Niles Monroe all scored 1 run each.
Trevor Syse pitched for the Wildcats and struck out 7.
For New Glarus, Easton Dreyfus was 1x3 with 1 run scored, while Patrick Alt had an RBI and Brett Warrell had 1 hit.
Eli Zimmerman pitched for the Knights, striking out 5.
The Wildcats hosted Dodgeville on May 2nd and played at Wisconsin Heights on May 3rd. They will host Waterloo on May 5th.
