Wildcats Host Home Meet

The Wildcats ran at home on Saturday - a year since we painted the lines on our course. Our course has a lot to offer - hills, woods, some flat areas, all on our school grounds. This has been our course for at least 15 years. The schools that come to our meet enjoy what it has to offer. This was also a bittersweet race for our seniors - their last home meet!
Alora Spiegel medaled with an 8th place finish and a time of 22:22, and Carter Scholey won the boys race with a time of 17:41. As a team, the girls placed 5th of 7 teams overall, while the boys placed 5th of the 12 complete teams. JV Boys were led by Carson Heller, with a finish time of 24:37, and a shout out to Cole Monroe, who had a season PR on our home course. Jackson Scholey placed 2nd overall for the middle school boys and Meara Allen led the way for the girls in the 2-mile race. Well done, kids!
Megan and I want to thank Steve O'Connor and our grounds crew for making our course beautiful, and all the volunteers who helped out - Cindy Lettman, Robyn Hellenbrand, Meredith Smith, Mary Fell, Willy Johnson, Jean Tretow, Betty Wolf, Tyler Gilbertson, Joe Buol, David Edge, John Remy, Steve Johnson and Haley Houser. This couldn't happen without you! Also, big shout outs to our wonderful CC families! Thank you for your support and cheers!
The Wildcats next compete on Saturday, September 25th, at Blackhawk Golf Course in Janesville.
