Wildcats Win Exciting Game Against Marshall

The Belleville baseball team hosted Palmyra-Eagle on April 23rd, winning 3-2. Belleville was on the board first, with a run in the 3rd. Palmyra-Eagle tied it up in the top of the 7th, but Belleville was able to get 2 players past home plate to win.
Drew Shrader was 2x4 at bat with 1 run and 1 RBI. Luke Kelly and Dylan Gratz were both 1x2 at bat, and Austin Fahey and Jackson Richter scored 1 run each.
Next up for the Wildcats was a game against Marshall, where they won 10-9. The teams battled for the lead all 7 innings and were tied in the bottom of the 6th when Jackson Richter grounded out and scored a run.
Brock Kelly was 2x3 at bat with 1 run and 1 RBI, while Dylan Gratz was 2x4 at bat with 1 run and 3 RBIs and Jaydon Winkers was 1x2 at bat with 2 runs and 1 RBI. Luke Kelly, Jackson Richter, Nathan Mabis and Drew Shrader all scored, and Austin Fahey scored 2 runs.
On April 26th, the team headed to Wisconsin Heights, where they lost 2-3. Heights hit the ground running and were up 3-0 by the bottom of the 3rd. The Wildcats rallied in the 5th and 6th innings, but could were unable to win.
Luke Kelly and Jaydon Winkers were both 1x2 at bat, with Kelly scoring 1 run. Drew Shrader and Nathan Mabis were 1x3 at bat, with Shrader scoring 1 run.
On Friday, the Wildcats hosted Evansville and lost 1-20. Their run came in the bottom of the 5th, after Evansville had scored 9. Evansville scored 11 runs in the final inning to seal their victory.
Cody McMillan was the lone Belleville player to get a hit and Bryson Jelle scored the run.
The Wildcats hosted New Glarus on May 1st and are scheduled to play a double header at Cambridge on May 3rd and a game at Parkview on May 4th.
