Woodford State Bank has been hosting Cash Mobs for businesses since 2018. A Cash Mob is a way to help local businesses grow and keep communities thriving. Each month, Woodford State Bank chooses a local business to mob and that business gets to pick their favorite organization to donate a portion of the proceeds for the day. There is a “cash drop” designated at a certain time where money is given away to either spend at the business or donate to the organization. These “cash mobs” are promoted on social media. This supports the business, the organization, and the local community.
Previous Cash Mobs include Kundert’s Main Street Market, Blanchardville, in May. Proceeds benefitted Pecatonica Area Food Pantry in the amount of $318.42. The June Cash Mob was held at Lucky Cow Coffee & Gelato in Darlington, with proceeds benefitting the Darlington Friendship Fund in the amount of $250.00. A total of $132.25 was collected for CareNet of Green County from July’s Cash Mob at Theo’s Ice Cream truck. The August Cash Mob was held at Shake It Up Ice Cream Truck in South Wayne, with $400.00 benefiting Badger State Honor Flight. Good Fellas Tavern in Argyle hosted the September Cash Mob, with the proceeds, which totaled $375.00, going to the Argyle Community Fund.
You can catch the next Cash Mob at Truvaille Coffee in New Glarus on Thursday, October 27th! Proceeds will benefit the Green County Humane Society.
