Ponies Ineffective Against Belmont

The Monticello boys basketball team traveled to Belmont on Monday, November 30th, to face the Braves.
Belmont took a commanding first half lead, scoring 20 unanswered points. Monticello finally got on the board with 6:32 remaining in the first, but they were never really in the game, losing to Belmont with a score of 25-66.
Logan Marty led the Ponies with 14 points, and Jon Errthum contributed 6 points. Marty also led the team in rebounds, with five. Dez Hanenberger and Jon Errthum had four rebounds a piece.
Belmont’s Quinn Cushman put up 13 points, with Cole Johnson and Raine Voights each scoring 10 points. Belmont’s leading rebounders were Lane Kamps with eight, Josh Logsdon with seven and Quinn Cushman with five.
The Ponies traveled to Pecatonica on Tuesday, December 8th, and will face Black Hawk at home on Friday, December 11th.
