Sugar River participated in the Oregon Relays on April 27th.
“Despite the weather, the kids did a great job coming out and performing. This meet gives some kids an opportunity to do different events then they usually do over the course of a season,” said Coach Willy Johnson. “The kids have fun with it and this year was no different.”
<strong>Boys Results</strong>
In the 3x110m shuttle hurdle, the team of Cole Myers, Sean McDermott and Evan Reifert placed 3rd with a time of 57.90.
The team of Jared Schulting, Cole Myers and Sean McDermott placed 2nd in the 3x300m shuttle hurdle with a time of 2:20.71.
In the 4x100m relay, the team of Nick Schult, Dalton Fahey, Sawyer Fahey and Eddie Fraire placed 4rd with a time of 46.70.
The team of Dalton Fahey, Josh Grebel, Jared Schulting and JJ Wenger placed 3rd in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:37.85.
In the 4x400m relay, the team of Dalton Fahey, Cole Myers, JJ Wenger and Evan Reifert placed 4th with a time of 3:44.19.
In the 4x800m relay, the team of Caden O’Rourke, Adam Nelson, Conor McCoy and Evan Reifert placed 5th with a time of 9:33.64.
In the 4x1,000m relay, the team of Caden O’Rourke, Conor McCoy, Tyler Stampfl and Adam Nelson placed 4th with a time of 12:24.80.
The team of Jacob Shrader, Nick Schult, Chase Messner and Conor McCoy placed 3rd in the 1600 sprint medley.
In the high jump relay, Jacob Shrader placed 3rd with his jump of 5-06.00.
<strong>Girls Results</strong>
In the 3x100m shuttle hurdle, the team of Jade Halvensleben, Gianna Diaz and Hallie Bartow placed 3rd with a time of 58.94.
The team of Emily Bartow, Gianna Diaz and Brooke Dreyfus placed 3rd in the 3x300m shuttle hurdle with a time of 3:11.94.
Placing 3rd in the 4x100m relay was the team of Kiara Donnell, Hallie Bartow, Jade Halvensleben and Erin Kittleson with a time of 54.44.
In the 4x200m relay, the team of Kiara Donnell, Erin Kittleson, Hallie Bartow and Kennedy Dreger placed 5th with a time of 2:00.99.
In the 4x400m relay, the team of Emily Bartow, Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann and Kiara Donnell placed 5th with a time of 4:53.82.
In the 4x800m relay, the team of Tayler Yapp, Nina Schiro, Emily Streiff and Gabby Whisler placed 4th with a time of 12:14.52.
In the 4x1,000m relay, the team of Gabby Whisler, Nina Schiro, Molly Molencamp and Tayler Yapp placed 4th with a time of 15:21.31.
The team of Kennedy Dreger, Dylan Noll, Lily Himmelmann and Libbie Melvin placed 4th in the 1600m sprint medley, with a time of 5:15.00.
Haiden Zimmerman won the discus throw relay, with a final of 96-07.
In the high jump relay, Kiara Donnell and Katie Bowers tied for 2nd place, both with throws of 4-04.00.
In the long jump relay, Jade Halvensleben placed 5th with a final of 14-03.75.
In the pole vault relay, Kyla Jerome tied for 2nd place with a jump of 7-00.00, while Alexa Thayer and Dylan Noll tied for 4th with a jump of 6-00.00.
In the triple jump relay, Walela Three-Sticks placed 3rd with her jump of 30-00.75 and Jade Halvensleben placed 4th with her jump of 30-00.00.
The Sugar River track team hosted a Capitol Conference Quad meet in Belleville on May 1st.
<strong>Boys Results</strong>
In the 200m dash, Dalton Fahey finished 4th with a PR of 23.26.
In the 400m run, Josh Grebel finished 2nd with a time of 54.75, and teammate Evan Reifert finished 3rd with a time of 57.28.
Caden O’Rourke finished 2nd in the 800m run with a time of 2:13.06.
In the 1600m run, Conor McCoy finished 5th with a time of 5:15.55.
In the 3200m run, Adam Nelson finished 5th with a time of 11:03.37.
Cole Myers won the 110m hurdles, with a time of 16.30. Myers also won the 300m hurdles, with a PR time of 41.52, while teammate Jared Schulting placed 2nd with a PR of 43.54.
The 4x100 relay team of Nick Schult, Sawyer Fahey, Eduardo Fraire and Luke Judd placed 2nd with a time of 47.14.
The 4x200 relay team of JJ Wenger, Jared Schulting, Cole Myers and Dalton Fahey placed 2nd with a time of 1:36.69.
The 4x100 relay team of JJ Wenger, Evan Reifert, Caden O’Rourke and Dalton Fahey placed 2nd with a time of 3:42.00.
Winning the 4x800 relay was the team of Conor McCoy, Adam Nelson, Caden O’Rourke and Evan Reifert, with a time of 9:08.18.
Jacob Shrader won the high jump with his jump of 6-00.00, while teammate JJ Wenger placed 4th with his jump of 5-06.00.
In the pole vault event, Matthew Zierl placed 5th with his PR of 9-00.00.
In the long jump event, JJ Wenger placed 3rd with his PR of 19-04.00 and Jared Schulting placed 4th with his jump of 19-03.50.
<strong>Girls Results</strong>
Kiara Donnell won the 100m dash, with a time of 12.89, and Heidi Wegehaupt placed 5th with her PR of 14.00. Donnell placed 2nd in the 200m dash, with a time of 27.95.
In the 400m run, Lily Himmelmann finished in 3rd place with a time of 1:06.94, while Dylan Noll placed 5th with a time of 1:15.99.
Competing in the 800m run was Nina Schiro, finishing in 3rd place with a time of 2:54.18.
In the 1600m run, Tayler Yapp finished in 2nd place with a time of 6:00.86, while teammate Libbie Melvin placed 5th with a PR of 7:00.55.
In the 3200m run, Gabby Whisler finished in 3rd place with a time of 14:10.75 and Molly Molencamp finished in 4th place with a time of 14:49.87.
Emily Bartow won the 300m hurdles, with a PR of 49.84 and Gianna Diaz placed 5th with a PR of 59.80. In the 100m hurdles, Bartow placed 2nd with a time of 17.79 and Diaz placed 4th with a PR of 19.22.
Winning the 4x100 relay was the team of Hallie Bartow, Jade Halvensleben, Erin Kittleson and Heidi Wegehaupt with a time of 55.02.
The 4x200 relay team, consisting of Emily Bartow, Hallie Bartow, Jade Halvensleben and Kiara Donnell won the race, with a time of 1:56.75.
The 4x400 relay team of Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann, Erin Kittleson and Nina Schiro finished in 2nd place with a time of 4:41.84.
Winning the 4x800 relay was the team of Molly Molencamp, Nina Schiro, Gabby Whisler and Libbie Melvin, with a time of 11:44.91.
Haiden Zimmerman won the discus event with her throw of 98-03. In the shot put event, Zimmerman placed 2nd with a throw of 28-05.00 and Alexa Thayer placed 4th with a PR of 26-07.75.
Placing 2nd in the high jump was Katie Bowers, with a jump of 4-10.00 and teammate Lily Himmelmann placed 4th with her jump of 4-08.00.
In the pole vault event, Heidi Wegehaupt placed 5th with a 7-00.00.
Jade Halvensleben won the long jump, with her jump of 15-03.00. Walela Three-Sticks placed 4th with a PR of 14-05.00 and Kennedy Dreger placed 5th with a PR of 13-09.50.
Walela Three-Sticks won the triple jump with a 32-02.50. Jade Halvensleben finished in 3rd place with a 30-10.75 and Kennedy Dreger placed 4th with a PR of 29-11.50.
