Belleville EMS Receives Grant From Alliant Energy Foundation

Emergency responders are our neighbors and friends. Sometimes, they aren’t even paid. They provide medical care, fight fires and protect our communities, simply because they care. 
Hometown Safety Grants from the Alliant Energy Foundation are our way of showing support. These grants fund specific tools and projects to help first responders do their jobs even better: defibrillators in public buildings, personal protective equipment for police and more. 
This spring, 12 communities across Wisconsin received grants including Belleville Area EMS, who received $450 for a vacuum splint system. Other communities receiving grants included Columbus Firemen’s Service Corporation, $1,000 for upgraded digital radios; Clinton Fire Protection District, $800 for communications improvement; City of Sheboygan Fire Department, $1,000 for rope rescue equipment safety upgrade; Lomira Fire Department, $1,000 for personal TIC; Rewey Volunteer Fire Department, $1,000 for personal protective equipment (PPE); Howards Grove Fire Department, $1,000 for turn-out gear replacement; Wolf River Volunteer Fire Department, $500 for water rescue equipment; Town of Oakfield, $1,000 for Town AED (Automatic External Defibrillator); Poynette Police Department, $1,000 for taser electronic control weapon replacement; Pittsville Police Department, $1,000 for Pittsville Police Department radio improvement plan; and Cassville Fire and Rescue, $1,000 for remotely activated siren system.
