Only two teams, It’s Time Mounties and S’Wisco Taphaus Cheese Eaters, were tough enough to brave the cold wind and icy roads on February 7th. The remaining teams decided it best to reschedule their matches, most to February 14th. The Mounties started out strong in their match against the Cheese Eaters going up by 11 after one frame, then up by 20, and still on the positive side with a 14-point lead after three frames. However, by the end of the fourth frame, the Cheese Eaters had a 1-point lead and never looked back finishing the match with a huge 3-point win. This, the fifth loss by the Mounties, eliminates them from any playoff hopes they may have had. Tom Magnuson and Mary Humphrey recorded 110 points for the Mounties that were quickly countered by Cheese Eaters’ Jeff and Bryan Buesser, who also scored 110 points.

Unfortunately, the Hay Shakers may be down a man for a couple of weeks as Steven Sponem fell on the ice last Thursday morning and broke his arm. We all wish you the best Steve, and hope your surgery goes well and that you recover soon. Don’t worry, we believe that Karen can step in and handle the few chores you have around the farm without even breaking a sweat.

Standings: Norsk Pranksters 4-1; Harley Blue Express 3-1; J&M Bar 3-1; Kleeman’s 3-2; Riley 2-2; Jones’ Plumbing 2-3; Norsk Cowboys 2-3; S’Wisco Taphaus 2-3; It’s Time 0-5.

Schedule for February 14: J&M Bar @ Harley Blue (8:00); Pranksters @ Shufflers (Date/Time TBD); Kleeman’s @ Norsk Cowboys (7:30); S’Wisco Taphaus – Bye; It’s Time - Bye; Jones’ Plumbing – Bye.
