The Kiwanis Club of Belleville has welcomed 11 new members to join youth service and community activities in Belleville and beyond.

Thirty-five years ago, the late Bill Stevens moved to Belleville and formed the Kiwanis Club of Belleville. Since then the club has become a vital and active member of the community.

Kiwanis efforts have expanded school and community opportunities for area youth through graduate scholarships, leadership and world issue learning experiences, middle school academic awards, iPads for autistic children and the bookworm preschool and K4 reading program.
