David A. Haak

David A. Haak, age 58 of Belleville, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison following a 13-year battle with myelofibrosis. He was born on March 12, 1961, in Monroe, WI, the son of LaVern and Marilyn (Kuehni) Haak.

David graduated from Belleville High School in 1979, and continued his education with the Farm and Industry Short Course at UW-Madison. On May 5, 1984, he was united in marriage to Theresa Gehin at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. David was passionate about agriculture and farming. He also loved to spend time fishing and deer hunting, along with following all the Wisconsin sports teams. David enjoyed the journey by taking the long road to get somewhere and visiting with those he encountered along the way. He had the skill to recall those he had met and things he had done along the way. David's family was very dear to him; he would faithfully support his children in their athletic endeavors, and enjoyed their time spent together.

David is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Greg (Bri), Tom, Dennis, and Melaine; and grandchildren, Jane and Kenley. He is further survived by his mother, Marilyn; siblings, Steven (Becky Olson) Haak, Timothy (Kari) Haak, Daniel (Jacalyn) Haak, and Mary Haak; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern Haak.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI, with the Rev. Rich Pleva officiating. Burial is in the Paoli Cemetery. Relatives and friends called from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.

The family would like to thank Dr. Heun and staff at SSM Health/Dean for the compassionate care given to David.
