Homecoming Thank Yous 2019
July 25, 2019
I hope all who attended the 31st anniversary of the Annual Variety Show enjoyed it as much as I did. Once again, we had great acts. Thank you to all of the entertainers. Also, thank you to Harvey Kubly for being the emcee since we started and to Carolyn Hilliard for playing piano, Tammy and Danny Wirth for allowing us to use the great venue of T&D’s, and Danny Klitzke for being our sound man for almost 25 years. Thank you also to the many who attended, we need you to make this a successful and fun filled evening.
What a great parade! Lots of fun entries! It was a tad warm, and thank you to the many spectators on the parade route! You ultimately make it happen! I believe the highlight was the Weinermobile. A new highlight was the Vets, including the Color Guard stopped on Main Street and Grace Seffrood sang the National Anthem. This will be a new tradition to honor our Vets. We couldn’t do a parade without the generous donations we receive. A BIG thank you to Nancy Briggs, Green Pastures, Monticello Lionesses, Mt. Pleasant-Perry Insurance, Kubly Tire and Service, Morning Mug, Kesler’s Kountry Kreations, PTO, Monticello Area Historical Society, Greenwoods State Bank, Harvey Kubly CPA and Klitzke Trucking. Thanks also goes out to Renee Nicholson, Cher Venden, Trent and Alexa Siegenthaler for assisting Melissa to ensure the parade runs smoothly. Thank you to Jim McNeill for being the emcee again this year, and Dan Klitzke for once again setting up the sound equipment. See you next year…
