On a cool night at the New Glarus stadium, while embers were still smoldering from the Homecoming bonfire, the Sugar River Raiders boys soccer team was lighting up the field. The Raiders are now 5-0 in conference play and in 1st place of the Capitol Conference.

On September 26th, the Sugar River Raiders defeated Watertown Luther Prep, 5-0. Breckin Faber scored two goals, assisted by Tyler Lueschow and Ryan Downing. Goals were also scored by Charlie Douma (assist Ryan Downing), Tyler Lueschow (assist Carter Siegenthaler), and Carter Siegenthaler (unassisted).

Captains and center defenders Owen Odegard and Tyler Stampfl commented on the shut-out, "We were able to get into a good defensive rhythm...good spacing and communication was the key."

On September 24th, the boys played at Wisconsin Dells with the Raiders winning 2-0. Goals were scored by Ryan Downing, and Charlie Douma off a penalty kick. Keepers Julian Lutz and Cam Kleiboer each had two saves in the shutout.
