Tyler to Receive Volunteer Award

October 10, 2019

Lois Tyler of New Glarus will receive the 2019 Length of Service Award for her volunteer service with RSVP of Dane County.

Lois Tyler has been sewing and knitting as an RSVP Group Projects volunteer for 20 years. She likes to keep busy and feel productive in life, so when she heard about RSVP through a friend in New Glarus she was hooked. Lois is a quilter, but so much more! During the day, she stays busy sewing blankets, caps and eye covers for people going through chemotherapy. By night she knits baby booties while watching her favorite sports teams. She was a nurse earlier in life and likes how her volunteerism links her back to the medical field, now helping in a different way. Lois is grateful to be able to spend her time doing something she loves, knowing that her creations help to sooth and comfort those in need.

Lois will receive the 2019 Length of Service Award at RSVP of Dane County's Annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch on October 17th. This year's luncheon will be held at The Heights in Verona.
