40th Annual Native American Indian Artifact Show

Another year has come to a close for the 40th Annual Native American Indian Artifact Show, held this past weekend at Monticello. The show was very well attended. There were 90 tables filled with historic to pre-historic artifacts. People exhibit from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
The Boy Scout Troop #106 had wonderful food. There were wonderful items brought in for identification.
Awards were presented, Best Personal Find was won by Gordon Morris, for his copper find. Awards of Excellence were won by Trevor Bane, for his overall collection. Judge's Special Award was won by Jeff Hipskind, for his world class flint collection. Educational Award was given to David Christenson with his general display. The Best of Show was awarded to Sam Wasion, he had a wonderful display.
The door prizes were won by Craig Kohl, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Scott Carruthers, Peru, Illinois; Tim Lenz, Verona, Wisconsin; and Yvonne Lathern, Pecatonica, Illinois.
