Washington Center 4-H club's Mickaelynn Andrews did a demonstration speech on making a special spinach salad.

Green County 4-H held its annual Communications Contest on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Green County Justice Center. This contest was open to all countywide 4-H members in grades 5K through one year past high school.

Presenting or speaking before a group or audience is an important life skill to develop. The goal of the Green County 4-H Communications Contest is to give 4-H youth an opportunity to develop and polish these skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Youth were eligible to submit one entry in each of three divisions: Speaking Division (prose/poetry or traditional speech); Demonstration Division (individual or team demonstration); and Non-Verbal Communication Division (poster, scrapbook, video/computer presentation, or promotional display).
